Election workers tell the story
Election Day voting is a problem
EVERYWHERE in our county
On every Election Day, 10-15% of voters are. turned away from the first polling place they visit. Some are also turned away from the second or third places as well. Some never do cast a ballot, or cast a provisional ballot that will not be counted.

This is a problem in every part of the county, though it is often worse in some areas than others.
Some who oppose Vote Centers argue that they have never seen it happen at their neighborhood polling place, but the Denton County count of voter redirects for the May 3, 2025 municipal and school board elections, shows there was only one location that reported no voters turned away.

Here are written and video reports from poll workers from a number of locations talking about their experience sending voters to other locations.
