Stand up for our Election Day voting rights!
This summer, local election judges and clerks will remind our elected commissioners that it's time for Denton County to get the same Election Day voting rights as 87% of the voters in Texas!
Please show up at one of the five meetings listed below and stand silently in support as as the election worker delivers the message.
You'll be asked to show up at the County Administrative Courthouse at about 8:45 am the day of the meeting, which will begin at 9 am.
These will be peaceful protests in a public space where every resident of Denton County has a right to be. You won't have to speak yourself and you won't be alone.
Soon after the start of the meeting, along with dozens of others, you'll stand in silent support for 3 minutes as the election worker speaks.
Then, you'll leave the meeting with the group for a short photo op outside the courthouse. You should be on your way by 9:45 am.
