Stand up for our Election Day voting rights!

So far this summer, more than 100 local election judges and clerks and regular voters have stood up to remind our elected commissioners that it's time for Denton County to get the same Election Day voting rights as 87% of the voters in Texas!

Please show up at one of the meetings listed below and stand silently in support as as the election worker delivers the message. (You can sign up for more than one meeting!)

You'll be asked to show up at the County Administrative Courthouse off Loop 288 in Denton near Aldi's at about 8:45 am the day of the meeting, which will begin at 9 am.

These are peaceful protests in a public space where every county resident has a right to be. You won't have to speak and you will have plenty of people with you!

Soon after the start of the meeting at 9 am, along with dozens of others, you'll stand in silent support for 3 minutes as the election worker speaks.

(On Sept 1, we'll also present the Commissioners with a petition for Vote Centers signed by more than 1,700 Denton County voters. This will not force them to take action, but it will be another indicator of broad support.)

You'll leave the meeting with the group for a short photo op outside the courthouse and be your way by 9:45 am.
